Coins / The QA Slot Machine

Learn about coin awards in AngelTrack, part of the QA review system

AngelTrack has a coin system to reward crew members for each report that successfully passes QA review.

SlotMachineEarning Coins

Your QA reviewer awards you coins upon the graduation of any chart where you were a participating crew member, even if you were not / are not the attending.

Everyone who was on board the vehicle gets the same award. This way, there is no battle over who did enough of the paperwork to get a coin. Every crew member gets the same amount, even if all they did was lift assist.

Your QA reviewer chooses how many coins to award, at the time he or she clicks the graduate button to send the chart onward to billing. The options are: No coins; one coin; two coins; or three coins. The decision is entirely up to your QA reviewer.

By default, AngelTrack's QA Review form suggests awarding 2 coins for any chart that graduates QA without any return for corrections, or 1 coin for any chart that graduates QA after one or more rounds of corrections. So, this is another perk for turning in a perfect report: Not only will you get twice as many coins, or more, but so will your partner!

There is no other way to earn coins. Only QA reviewers can award them, and only for chart graduations.

Checking Your Coins

CoinYou can check your coin stash at any time by hovering your mouse over the coins icon that appears underneath your achievements, on your Crew Home page.

Your coins will accumulate there until you spend them at the QA Slot Machine, or you sacrifice them.

Spending Coins

To spend your coins, visit your Crew Home page, find your coin stash underneath your achievements panel, and click the icon. You will be taken to the QA Slot Machine page where you can use them to buy spins.

The prizes you can win include:

  • More coins

  • Unlock seven new AngelTrack user-interface themes*

  • Unlock special holiday themes

  • Unlock collectible fruit icons (special prize for anyone who gets all nine)

  • A jackpot of 25 coins

  • An optional jackpot posted by your manager (see below)

  • Additional perks to be announced

AngelTrack Coins are not for sale under any circumstances, have no monetary value, and cannot be transferred off your AngelTrack server. All prizes are awarded to your user account within your AngelTrack server, and cannot be transferred, sold, refunded, or otherwise reassigned.

The QA Slot Machine pays out for the following combinations:

  • Three bars
  • Three matching fruits
  • Two matching fruits + one bar
  • Three matching giftboxes
  • Two matching giftboxes + one bar
  • Two bars
  • Two matching fruits
  • Three coins
  • Two coins + one bar
  • Any three fruits
  • Any three giftboxes
  • One bar

The "Spend 3" button is slightly luckier than three separate "Spend 1" spins. Likewise the "Spend 5" button is significantly luckier than five separate "Spend 1" spins.

*You can access your new UI themes by visiting the HTML5 Control Preferences page, available from the Support page, or from the small control-panel icon at the bottom-right corner of the PCR ribbon.

Posting a Jackpot

Anyone with Administrator privileges can visit the Preference page (under Settings), and on the "Miscellaneous" tab, post a jackpot for the QA Slot Machine.

The odds of a jackpot (three bars) is 1 in 85,000 spins. Since AngelTrack distributes an average of three coins per completed dispatch (about 1.5 coins per attached crew member per QA'd trip), the jackpot's occurrence rate depends on your call volume:

  • 500 QA'd calls per month = One jackpot every 56 months

  • 1000 QA'd calls per month = One jackpot every 28 months

  • 2000 QA'd calls per month = One jackpot every 14 months

  • 5000 QA'd calls per month = One jackpot every 6 months

Supervisors can post anything they like as a jackpot; here are some ideas:

  • Pizza party

  • Extra PTO day

  • All dispatchers will do 10 pushups in front of the crews

  • New TV screen and game console for the rec room

  • Ice cream party

  • Ice cream party where the station chief gets hit with a coconut cream pie

  • A chair-massage provider spends a day working at the station

  • FTOs must wash and dry the trucks while the crews check for missed spots

  • Twenty cases of energy drinks for each station

If someone wins the jackpot, AngelTrack will send a message to the primary messaging address of whichever employee posted the jackpot. The jackpot will then be cleared, reverting to the default jackpot of 25 coins.

Sacrificing Coins

At any time, you may sacrifice your coins, 100 at a time. There is a button for this on the "Statistics" tab of your Employee Self-Edit page.

3711

There is an achievement that tracks your coin sacrifices. You can review it from the "Achievements" tab of your Employee Self-Edit page.

The highest achievement rank is 20,000 coins sacrificed.

Coin Sacrifices and Company Incentive Plans

If your agency has an incentive plan that recognizes AngelTrack Coins, then you can sacrifice your coins in the presence of your supervisor, using the button in the QA section of the "Statistics" tab of your Employee Self-Edit page, to activate the incentive.

For example, perhaps crew members can sacrifice 5,000 coins to get a Pizza Friday.

No other employees can delete coins from your account, not even members of HR. Only you have access to the slot machine and the "Sacrifice 100 Coins" button with respect to your coin stash.

A supervisor can track the total accumulation of all coin sacrifices by pulling the "Achievements" dataset from the Data Hub.
