Utstein MI Reporting

How to use Report Builder to pull the data for Utstein reports

AngelTrack's Report Builder feature can help you fill out your Utstein reports, by assembling all the relevant data in one place.

Utstein Datasets

The following datasets, in the "Dispatches" category, are useful for Utstein reporting:

  • Dispatches-Overview
  • Dispatches-PatientCare
  • Dispatches-PatientIdent
  • Dispatches-PMHx
  • Dispatches-Runtimes
  • PCR-FirstIntubation
  • PCR-FirstIV
  • PCR-LastECG
  • PCR-MedsGiven
  • PCR-MI
  • PCR-Outcome

...depending on the exact requirements of the Utstein report you are filling out.

To get you started, look at the built-in report named "MI - Utstein in myCares Format - Past 30". You can save a copy of it and then rearrange it to suit your needs.

myCares

If you are filling out the Utstein form in the myCares platform, AngelTrack already has a built-in report to help you, named "MI - Utstein in myCares Format - Past30". It will pull the past 30 days worth' of trips where the PCR MI form was answered "Yes, MI occurred", and display all the relevant columns of data in the same order as the myCares form, to make it easy for you to transcribe the answers.

You can adjust the report's fields and date window as necessary.

The report shows all data that AngelTrack has which applies to the myCares form, which cover 52 of its 69 different datafields. The remaining fields are either not tracked by AngelTrack (such as events occurring in the hospital after admission) or "reason why not" fields which will require you to read the narrative.

To quickly open the PCR or printed report from within Report Builder, scroll left or right to find the "Dispatch ID" column, hover your mouse over the trip you want, and right-click the ID cell to open the jump-off menu.
