Call Volume Source Tracking / Referral Tracking

AngelTrack can store data about the source or originator of each trip, so that you can later pull metrics on these referrals.

Datafields

As you know, every dispatch record in AngelTrack has "Caller" fields, including name and telephone. These fields are independent of the source-tracking field and remain usable whether or not you utilize the source-tracking system.

The source-tracking system adds a new datafield to each run ticket: "Source". The datafield is a facility-picker, so you can select any record from your facility list, or else leave it blank.

The user can set the Source field in all of these places within AngelTrack:

A return-trip can have a different source than its outbound trip, or have no source at all.

The automatic return trip created for a wait-and-return will inherit the source designation from its outbound trip.

The designation of source can later be edited by returning to the run-ticket.

Billing Implications

When a source facility has been designated, it becomes a choice in the bill-to-facility picker. This permits you to easily bill trips to the referrer, rather than to the origin, destination, or residence.

If the source facility is marked as being under contract, then AngelTrack will auto-set it as a liable party when appropriate.

Reporting

In the Data Hub, the source facility appears as a column in the Dispatches-Financial dataset. From there you can mix it with the other datasets to create referrer analytics.

Need More Tags /Running Out of Tags

If you are running out of tags, check whether you are using tags to store referrer information. If so, then you could begin using the Source datafield instead to track referrals, and free up the associated tags for other purposes.
