Angelix Codes

Angelix codes are UI indicators that appear throughout AngelTrack, to help you double-check that you are viewing the correct patient's records.

What Is an Angelix Code?

An Angelix is a small visual indication of a patient's identity. It is used as a shorthand way to quickly visually check whether the page you are working in belongs to the same patient as you are viewing in a different browser tab.

Here is an example:

The Angelix shown above is the colored code "EA5#9", representing a female patient named Amy Evans.

Using letters, numbers, and colors, it encodes this information about the patient:

• Last initial

• First initial

• Gender

• Date of birth

The information is encoded in a unique way, so that each patient's Angelix looks different than those of other patients.

Where Do Angelixes Appear?

Angelixes appear on all AngelTrack pages which are associated with a patient record. These include:

• Dispatch Create

• Dispatch Edit

• Dispatch Cancel

• QA Review Edit

• Coding

• Payment Event Add / Edit

...and other places in the UI where appropriate. If you discover a new place in the UI where an Angelix would be valuable, please let us know.

When Does a Patient's Angelix Code Change?

A patient's Angelix code changes if any of the following datafields ever change:

• First or last name;

• Date of birth; or

• Gender.
