A walkthrough of AngelTrack's minimum QA requirements
QA Protocol
AngelTrack has a built-in protocol that dictates the minimum elements in a report for submission to QA. Your agency may impose additional requirements, published to the crews and enforced by the QA reviewers.
AngelTrack's Built-in QA Protocol
AngelTrack's built-in protocol imposes certain requirements on a run report before the crew is allowed to submit it to QA.
The foremost requirement is that the "Disposition" fields must be recorded. For wheelchair van transports it will be automatically set*. The value of the disposition fields then determines the other protocol requirements.
For any run whose disposition fields imply that patient contact occurred, the following is required:
- Patient demographic information on file
- Injury information, if the primary complaint implies an injury has occurred
- Cardiac Arrest information, if the primary complaint implies one has occurred
The following additional requirements apply depending on the service provided, on the disposition fields, and on whether or not transport occurred:
Service | Patient Contact but No Transport | Transport Occurred |
---|---|---|
Car Wheelchair |
[no requirements] |

BLS ALS+ |

Telemedicine |

Labs |

Crew members cannot normally submit a run report to QA until the built-in protocol is satisfied; the relevant buttons in the PCR turn red to indicate items still missing. However, individual employees can be granted a crew privilege allowing them to submit a report even when AngelTrack believes it does not meet these requirements. And supervisors (Captains and Lieutenants) are always allowed to submit run reports to QA no matter how little they contain.
Company Additions to the QA Protocol
Your agency may impose additional requirements on top of AngelTrack's minimums. These additional requirements should be published to the crew members and then enforced by the QA reviewers. AngelTrack's announcement system is a good way to keep your crews and QA reviewers apprised of changes to your agency protocol.
The agency protocol, if any, should be specified in the "QAReviewProtocol" document template, found in the "Document Templates" item on the Settings page. Only Administrators have authority to modify the template, but it is readable (via a link on the QA Review page) by all QA reviewers.
In a fresh AngelTrack installation, that document template simply contains a copy of AngelTrack's built-in (minimum) protocol, as a reminder of exactly what AngelTrack requires.
