AngelTrack integrates with Schedule2.IT narcotics tracking software, electronically exchanging vial information between the two platforms.
Schedule2.IT is a narcotics tracking application which provides enhanced narcotics tracking, audits, multiple verification methods, and FDA integration. It integrates with AngelTrack to query the PCR for vials used and/or wasted.
Configuration
Schedule2 needs an API key by which to query your AngelTrack server. The API key must have "Medication Box API" privileges, which allows it to query the PCR for medications data.
The API key is not allowed to make any changes to a PCR, nor is it allowed to access any other PCR data, nor is it ever allowed to retrieve PHI, therefore it is a minimal security exposure.
To learn more about AngelTrack API keys, and how to issue one, please see the API Keys Guide.
Every install of Schedule2 needs an API key. If you like, you can issue a different API key for each install, or they can all share the same one. As noted above, the security implications are trivial, so there is no harm in sharing one API key across all of your devices.
Deletions
The PCR allows soft delete and undelete of PCR-Medications records. Deleted records are NOT sent to Schedule2 via this integration. Consequently, if a crew member pulls a PCR-Medications record from AngelTrack into Schedule2, then later deletes that record, the crew member must manually delete the matching record in Schedul2.
Integration with the Vials Tracking System
If you also use AngelTrack's native vial-tracking system, its vial data will be included in the data passed from AngelTrack's PCR to Schedule2.
In any case, the PCR always sends all available data about each medication to Schedul2.
