AngelTrack integrates with Tyler Tech Enterprise CAD to automatically download and import trip data.
Your AngelTrack server can download trip data from Tyler Tech Enterprise CAD, and automatically import it onto your dispatch board.
Requirements
You must already have an SFTP server, onto which Tyler Tech will push trip data, and from which AngelTrack will pull that trip data.
AngelTrack must know the URL to the folder on the SFTP server where Tyler Tech will deposit trip files, and a username and password with which to login. The SFTP server must be accessible from the public internet.
Configuration
To use the integration, your system administrator must configure Tyler Tech Enterprise CAD to push its trip files to the SFTP server.
Once that's done, login to your AngelTrack server with Administrator or Captain privileges, go to Settings, and click the Tyler Tech item to visit the configuration page.
Provide the necessary SFTP credentials, including the URL which includes the full path to the folder on the server where Tyler Tech files will appear. The full URL will look like this:
sftp://servername.domainname.com/foldername/
The selected folder must not be in use for any other purpose, because AngelTrack will collect and delete all files that appear in it.
Tyler Tech Enterprise CAD allows full user customization of the possible values in the "Incident Type" field. In order to map these values to the service-requested and complaint-type fields in AngelTrack, you must export your list of choices from Tyler Tech and provide it to AngelTrack Support for review, to ensure that AngelTrack will correctly recognize the various types of incident.
Proxy employee
Part of AngelTrack's configuration settings for Tyler Tech is the choice of proxy employee. This is an employee record in AngelTrack in whose name all imports from Tyler Tech will be logged. For example, if you select yourself as the proxy employee, then when AngelTrack imports a call from Tyler Tech, the journals will show that you were the one who created the call, even though it happened automatically.
You can create a special employee account just for this purpose, if you like, using the link on AngelTrack's Tyler Tech Configuration page.
Limitations
You must provide the necessary SFTP server, or arrange for Tyler Tech to provide it.
AngelTrack polls the SFTP server once per minute to check for new trips.
Only one trip will be imported per poll, i.e. maximum one trip imported per minute.
Tyler Tech allows multiple 'Person' records per incident; only the first one will be imported into AngelTrack as the patient, any others are ignored.
If the call requests a service level that you do not provide, AngelTrack will ignore the trip.
AngelTrack scrapes all the data it can from the Tyler Tech datafile to populate the dispatch record, but Tyler Tech datafiles specify only basic incident information, so EMS-specific fields like transport-destination must be input by your own dispatchers.
If Tyler Tech sends an update to an existing call, AngelTrack will automatically import it, which could overwrite changes made by your dispatchers.
If Tyler Tech sends a cancellation, AngelTrack will cancel the matching dispatch record; it cannot later be uncancelled by Tyler Tech, rather a new trip must be sent.
AngelTrack will attempt to match the Tyler Tech data to your facility records and your patient records, in order to automatically attach them to your dispatch record, but this isn't always possible.
Tyler Tech transmissions do not stipulate billing arrangements, so AngelTrack will apply the default billing arrangements according to your Service Levels Configuration, plus any facility contract in effect for the facility record (if any) that was matched to the origin address.
Assignment of Shifts
Presently, the Tyler Tech Integration does not permit Enterprise CAD to assign one of your crew units to an imported call. Your dispatchers must still build the shift records and assign the trips to them.
After beta-testing of the Tyler Tech integration is completed, this feature will become available.
Automatic Tagging
Any dispatch pulled into the system from Tyler Tech will be automatically tagged with any tag that meets the following criteria:
- The tag is marked ☑ Active, and either of the following are true:
- The tag is marked ☑ Default, or
- The tag is named "TylerTech" (no quotes).
In other words, if you want AngelTrack to automatically tag your Tyler Tech trips as such, then simply create an AngelTrack tag named "TylerTech".
Tags can automatically create service charges, so if you want to automatically add a service charge for any trip received from Tyler Tech, refer to the Service Charges Guide.
Reviewing Imports
In AngelTrack you can review all trips that you received from Tyler Tech. Go to Settings, select the Tyler Tech Configuration item, and then click the "Tyler Tech Trip Log" link.
